Over the time in working on men in shorts as it was my band etc I was not tied down to any one so I could do as I pleased etc of which I myself ventured into running my own Karaoke etc and things started to come off this. For instance I came up with the name "Cabaroke" which was a mix of me doing what I did yrs ago which was my cabaret style of approach mixing it with the karaoke hence "Cabaroke", then I came up with an Irish theme night which became "Paddyoke" and from this came my Freddie Mercury spin off called "Freddieoke", so as you can see there was more to me than just being the front man to the oomph band but of course I would not have done all of this if I had not left the band when I did.
But as they say times move on and you overcome your differences and put them to bed so to speak and this year of 2007 Nigel asked if I could do some work with him as he was struggling to find a replacement for the guy who had replaced me over the last few years, so again I weighed things up and the book wasn't looking as healthy as it could so I filled up most of my free dates for this year. Basically that's where I'm at to this day, anyway I hope you have found the insight into my career so to speak interesting, and if you would like to know more just let me know ok.
Here we are in 2012 and men in shorts is back on song. Bookings are coming in nicely, and hope to see you possibly sometime this year, who knows.
