One night I was doing some comparing at a local pub when an old school mate approached me and asked if id like to join his Dance band of which he was running at that time and it was called THE JACKSON SOUNDS, well to cut to the chase I decided to do this and from there on we were together as a unit for 17yrs which looking back that was some going hey. As the band we would perform the pop songs of the time and do quick steps, fox trots, & waltzes etc, and the band consisted of three members of which were myself of course then there was Allan Oakley, on drums and Nigel Jackson, Accordion, anyway one thing led to another and we ended up changing from a dance band into a oomph band, and if you would like to know how that came about I will tell you one day if you write to me and ask, so as you can see from the photos, there we are as the dance band ; and there we are as the Oomph Band of which we called it 'The Munichbierkeller Men' which was a bit of a mouthful wasn't it, today he just tends to call it 'The Bierkeller Men'.

So as the Bierkeller Men we traveled from top to bottom of the country playing in almost every type of venue you could think of, we even did a gig once at the National History Museum in London which was to promote a wildlife magazine which just happened to be sponsored by a German company hence that's why we were there as the oomph band, and of course we did the Holliday venues such as Butlins, Pontins, Haven etc, of which we are still doing today etc, when I say it as we it is because this year of "2007" I am back working again with Nigel as "The Bierkeller Men" so if you see the name up anywhere come along and have a look, but hey I have diverged a little bit here I didn't tell you what happened after we split up which was in 1997, this was when we decided to call it a day.
